Michael T. Petela, Jr.
Attorney Michael T. Petela, Jr. graduated from Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations in 2002. Following graduation he fought for worker rights with the Service Employee's International Union, organizing nursing home and hospital workers in Hartford, New Haven, and throughout Connecticut. He attained his J.D. degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2009, where he graduated cum laude and received merit-based scholarships for each semester he attended. He has been actively practicing law since his admission and has successfully resolved numerous claims involving employer retaliation, sexual harassment, infliction of emotional distress, breach of contract, defamation, and discrimination based upon age, race, gender, and disability. He currently represents plaintiffs in cases of employment law, civil rights, workers’ compensation, and personal injury. He is admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut, the Federal District of Connecticut, and is a member of the American Bar Association.
